Using Tangent means agreeing to this. It's short, and written to be understood rather than to be impressive.
A tool that lives in Telegram. You tell it what you're stuck on; it suggests one small action and checks whether you got moving. You tell it your ideas; it holds them and gives you an honest read on them.
It's software, and it's new. It will sometimes be wrong — misjudge an idea, misread what's blocking you, suggest something useless. Its opinions are opinions. You're the one who decides.
This is not healthcare. Tangent is not medical advice, not therapy, not counselling, not a diagnosis, and not a treatment for ADHD or anything else. It is not a clinical tool and it has not been clinically tested. It cannot tell you whether you have a condition, and nothing it says should be treated as a professional opinion.
Never use it in a crisis. It is not a crisis line, an emergency service, or a safety net, and nobody is monitoring your messages for signs you're in trouble. If you are in danger or in crisis, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line immediately.
It doesn't replace your clinician or your coach. Don't change medication, treatment, or care because of anything Tangent says. If a coach recommended it, it is a tool between your sessions — not a substitute for them.
Adults, 18 or over. You need a Telegram account. One person per subscription — it's built to learn one person's patterns, and sharing it makes it worse at its job as well as breaking this agreement.
Your first 24 hours are free, starting from your first message. No card. When it ends, Tangent stops responding until you subscribe. Nothing is deleted — your ideas and history are still there if you come back.
Payment is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel.
Say so in the chat, and we'll cancel it. No phone call, no retention offer, no "are you sure" three times. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for, and it won't renew.
If Tangent didn't help, ask for your money back and you'll get it. We'd rather refund you than hold $20 of a stranger's money for something that didn't work. If it stops working for a stretch through our fault, tell us and we'll sort the billing out.
Covered properly in the privacy notice, which is worth two minutes. Short version: there's no account beyond your Telegram ID, your coach gets nothing, we don't sell anything, and you can have it all deleted by asking.
If any of that happens, we may end your access. If we do it without good reason, you get your money back.
Tangent is provided as-is. We can't promise it will always be available, that it will always be right, or that it will work for you — that's genuinely what it's being tested to find out. It depends on other companies (Telegram, Stripe, and the AI providers), and when they break, it breaks.
Whatever happens, our liability to you is capped at what you've paid us in the last twelve months. We're not liable for anything you did or didn't do because of something Tangent suggested. It's a tool. The decisions stay yours.
Some places don't allow limits like that. If yours doesn't, they don't apply to you.
If these terms change in a way that affects you, Tangent will tell you in the chat before it takes effect. Carrying on using it means you accept the change; if you don't, cancel and get the unused part of your month back.
Ask in the chat. It reaches a person.
